Rev. Gerald David, our Halifax representative on the NFPC, has been appointed Vicar General of the Archdiocese. He will continue with his parish duties and Episcipal Vicar of Deacons. Our congratulations to Fr. David on his new responsibilities as he assists Archbishop Mancini in the governance of the Archdiocese.

Our prayers go out to the clergy of the Diocese of Saint John on the death of Vicar General Emeritus, Msgr. George Martin, who died on Monday, March 2nd. Msgr. Martin held the post of Vicar General during the Episcopacies of Most Rev. A. J. Gilbert, Most Rev. Edward Troy and Most Rev. Faber MacDonald. Msgr. Martin would have celebrated his 60th anniversary of Priesthood on May 8th. He was associated with St. Thomas University in Chatham and Fredericton, rising to the post of President.
