The year 2008 has been a year of many blessing for the Federation and its members. We have had the distinct opportunity to have met in all of our Regions and to discuss the issues most important to our local presbyterates. We have also moved closer to realizing the publication of the “Big 5”. With praise and thanksgiving to God we remember David Heale’s life, ministry and, contribution to the Federation. It goes without saying that our meetings will be very different without Dave’s wit, candour and deep faith that he was so very eager to share with anyone around the table, or out in the smoking area! The Annual Assembly of the Federation which will be held in Victoria, BC October 20-24, 2008, will focus on the theme of “Honouring our Priesthood: where we meet God! “ Remember to mark your calendars and to watch the website nfpc.ca for more details and hotel information. In 2009 Canada will be hosting the International Meeting of Clergy (IMOC) and the executive has chosen the theme of “Recovering the blessing of Fraternity” These meetings of international clergy are always times of great blessings. We are looking for interested members to help in making this special event successful. It will be held in the Central Region in the fall of 2009.
